Welcome to the Fashion Blog at Palette8 Productions, where creativity meets couture, and we bring you behind the seams of the biggest fashion events in the world.
As the executive producer of runway shows from Atlanta to New York Fashion Week, I’m showing firsthand the beauty, chaos, and brilliance that each of the “Big Three” fashion capitals bring to the global stage. Whether you’re an aspiring model, a fashion designer looking to break through, or a lover of all things glam, this is your insider’s look at New York, Paris, and Milan Fashion Week through the lens of production.
Let’s walk the runway, city by city.
✨ New York Fashion Week (NYFW): Where Trends Are Born
📍 Location: Manhattan, New York City, USA
🗓 When: February & September
New York Fashion Week is the launchpad for the fashion calendar. It’s gritty, fearless, and unapologetically bold, just like the city it calls home. At Palette8 Productions, we love NYFW for its diversity, edge, and energy.
Expect to see streetwear blended with high fashion, underground designers debuting collections next to major labels, and models of all identities redefining beauty on the catwalk.
🎵 “Concrete jungle where dreams are made of…” – Alicia Keys
Because NYFW is exactly that: where fashion dreams come true.
💡 Fun Fact: NYFW originated in 1943 and was the first organized fashion week in the world. It was created to shift attention from Paris during WWII and shine a light on American designers.
🇫🇷 Paris Fashion Week: The Couture Capital
📍 Location: Paris, France
🗓 When: March & October
Paris Fashion Week is the heartbeat of haute couture. With historic fashion houses like Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy leading the charge, PFW is where tradition, luxury, and legacy converge.
As a producer, what makes Paris unforgettable is the attention to detail, the elevated artistic vision, and the way designers turn fashion into philosophy.
🎵 “I’m a savage, classy, bougie, ratchet…” – Megan Thee Stallion
Because even in Paris, elegance knows how to strut with edge.
💡 Fun Fact: The first recorded fashion show happened in Paris in 1858, presented by Charles Frederick Worth using live models, creating the concept of runway as we know it today.
🇮🇹 Milan Fashion Week: The Drama Queen of the Runway
📍 Location: Milan, Italy
🗓 When: February/March & September
Milan is not subtle and we love that. Known for bold color, tailored drama, and couture-meets-street energy, Milan Fashion Week is where glamour gets unapologetically loud.
When Palette8 Productions hits Milan, we go full spectacle: metallics, live performances, artistic lighting, and immersive themes. It’s more than a fashion show, it’s a fashion experience.
🎵 “I’m feelin’ myself, I’m feelin’ my…” – Beyoncé
Because in Milan, confidence walks before you even hit the runway.
💡 Fun Fact: Milan is home to the world’s oldest active luxury fashion house, Gucci, founded in 1921. History literally walks beside you here.
💼 Final Thoughts from the Producer’s Chair
Each city brings its own heartbeat to the fashion industry:
New York births the brave and experimental.
Paris celebrates the historic and exquisite.
Milan commands power and presence.
At Palette8 Productions, we live for this.
We build runways out of ideas.
We amplify voices through fashion.
And we don’t just produce shows, we curate cultural moments.
As a woman-led fashion production company, our mission is to create unforgettable experiences for designers, models, photographers, and audiences alike. And whether we’re taking over NYFW, casting in Paris, or storytelling through fabric in Milan, one thing is certain:
“Style is a way to say who you are without speaking.” – Rachel Zoe
And at Palette8, we’re shouting it, with lights, music, movement, and magic.
